About Bahja 

 

Sweet melodies, soft backgrounds and powerful leads would be the only way to describe the unique but soulful sound of R&B singer Bahja Rodriguez.  From an early age the 21 year old singer/songwriter has enjoyed singing and always had a passion for music. 

Bahja’s professional career began at the tender age of 12 years old as “Miss Beauty” with the popular and colorful girl group the “OMG Girlz.” The group is most known for their songs “Gucci This(Gucci That),” “Where The Boys At,” “Baddie” and “Boy It’s Over.” In March 2015 the group disbanded.

 In April 2015 Bahja launched her solo career with the release of her first song "Jealous Type" gaining more than Two Million SoundCloud streams. She went on to release two singles "Lipstick" and "Next One", solidifying her position as an artist to watch.  In November 2015 Bahja released her debut EP "It Gets Better".  The project immediately made its way onto the iTunes R&B/Soul chart peaking at #6. "It Gets Better" also made its debut at #10 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart. One year later, in November 2016, Bahja released her highly anticipated sophomore EP "Luv", appearing on the iTunes R&B/Soul Chart at #29 peaking at #8. "Luv" also appeared on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart at #6.

On August 4, 2017 Bahja released her highly anticipated single "Necessary." Bahja is currently finishing her third project for a Fall 2017 release.
